Expansion at the Savannas Preserve State Park in Port St. Lucie
Juan Romero, a laborer with P & C Demolition and Construction of Fort Pierce helps level out the dirt for a new ADA accessible sidewalk which is part of a new expansion project for the education center at the Savannas Preserve State Park in Port St. Lucie. The expansion includes a new 3,000 sq/ft. space adjacent to the education center which will include a wet lab, a large lecture space and offices. “Students will be able to get out in the field, see nature and then bring those things back here to do some hands-on science,” said Chris Vandello, the park manager (not pictured). The expected completion date is September 2015.
