Indian Hills Stormwater Treatment and Recreation Area

The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners and City of Fort Pierce Commissioners held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Indian Hills Stormwater Treatment and Recreation Area. PJSI is the contractor for this project.The first phase of the project, which is expected to take 12 months to construct, includes the expansion of the existing stormwater retention area. In addition to increasing the capacity of water stored there, the system will also feature an Alum system and floating vegetative mats to provide additional treatment of the stormwater.
